1. Jodie Foster was born Alicia Christian Foster but all her three siblings
insisted that she be called Jodie. Turns out, the name stuck.
2. Jodie started acting at the age of 3, in commercials. Her first ad was the Coppertone Sunscreen commercial.
3. As a youngster, while Jodie was filming for a Disney Movie, a lion
mauled her and actually carried her for a short distance in his mouth.
4. She gained popularity in the 1976 movie “Taxi Driver”. Jodie was all of 13 years of age and won an Oscar nomination for the supporting role.
5. “Taxi Driver” had several explicit scenes and those particular scenes were all played by older sister Connie, as she was too young to do so.
6. A crazed Jodie fan from Colorado traveled to New Haven, Connecticut to stalk her but failed to attract her attention or impress her. In a desperate attempt to catch her attention, he shot President Ronald Reagan on 30 March 1981.
7. Jodie is a fitness freak. She enjoys yoga, kickboxing, karate, weightlifting and aerobics.

Jodie Started Her Own Production Company Tired of all the blockbusters being released in Hollywood, Jodie decided to fund her own production company in L.A. for small budget movies. “I did not have the ambition to produce “big mainstream popcorn” movies and, as a child, independent films made me more interested in the movie business than mainstream ones.” However, she had to shut it down later to dedicate more time to her children.
9. Jodie Foster loves being in front of the camera, but behind the camera is where she feels the most comfortable. She claims directing to be her biggest accomplishment. “[Directing] is where my heart is and I am a novice director. I have a lot more to learn, but it was marvelous directing two films.”
10. Two fun facts about Jodie's movie Nell (1994)... For this movie it has fallen into the area of the "Mandela Effect" because so many believe the Jodie Foster wrote or directed this movie. Which is not true it was directed by Michael Apted. Written by William Nicholson and Mark Handley. Jodie was a producer/actress.
The other fact about Nell (1994) is that Jodie Foster has done nude scenes for a few movies. But Nell was the only full-frontal nudity she ever did.
